Tom Scott held his "Home Is Where The Heart Is" women's and men's collection in apt 710 at The Chelsea Hotel NYC this afternoon, a fitting suite for his models to play house in.
The collection is inspired by the odd whimsy's one may find in granny's house, bed ruffles, vintage sheets, sheer drapes, bath towels and wall hangings. We were presented with macrame t.shirts, silk terry and pillowcase tanks, a skort, boob tubes and ruffle edge sweatshorts that may inspire me to one day try exercising.
Of course all of these inspirations could be quite hideous in someone else's hands, but this collection was astute in it's femininity and modern sophistication. I loved the soft pinks and beiges with the draped knits and sheers. Even the pill popping stoners looked less throbbing hangover, more sleepy ballerina.
The pillows have been knitted from vintage sheets to reassemble one home item into another.
Boob tube, satin slippers and twisted back knit tank dress.
Literate boys in macrame.
Colorblock sheer curtain tee, drape pants.
