Dear Shaded Viewers,
This will be a short post since I forgot to bring the cable to connect my camera to the computer. I will sort that out tomorrow. ASVOFF was invited to Mexico City by Trendsetera. A few days ago mercury went into retrograde which always means 'expect the unexpected'. Generally not great for travel and computers etc. Today Antoine and I arrived at the airport in Paris and found that there was heavy fog in London and our trip had to be re-routed. It was great, instead of changing in London we were flown direct to Mexico City. Smooth as glass only hic cup was I had asked my friend Rene Habermacher to see if he could find a sleeping pill for me and he did, but warned me only to take half.I took half waited for sleep, it did not arrive took the other half and still no sleep. I guess I needed something more hardcore. On the way back I'll take it all at the same time. The airport in Mexico is amazing, new, beautiful and you can watch your bags arrive which means the baggage handlers have to take care. Our bags were the first off and when we exited we were met by our smiling host, Romeo Ocampo who reminds me so much of my friend Julien Bertic.
My friend EGR was there to greet us with a camera crew. I cannot wait to show you some images but alas…the cable is missing.
We are staying at the lovely Condesa df, just had a great hot bath with their wonderful products and feeling a bit more alive after the flight.
Got to get dressed for dinner. I'm meeting Carlos Carrillo, Mr. Trendsetera. Just wanted to tell you that it has been a very warm welcome.
More later,
Diane
