A Visit with Mr. Pearl

Dear Shaded Viewers,

In collaboration with Michael James O’Brien, Zoltan Gerliczki and Matthew Hawkins, we are making a little low-fi film on our friend, Mr. Pearl for the 3rd edition of You Wear it Well. Our deadline has been extended to July 15th.

For those of you that do not know the famous corset maker, click here for an interview I did with him a little more than a year ago.

Cleo de Merode , the premiere ballet dancer of the Grand Opera in Paris is a source of great inspiration to Mr. Pearl.

Movement and dance, history and fantasy are key elements in the work of the master, Mr. Pearl.

After the visit I was off to see my friends Graham Tabor and Miguel Villalobos. They are back in town for Graham’s men’s wear exhibition which will be held at the Ter and Bantine Gallery for 3 days starting the 28th June. Click Graham’s website for precise details. Graham was one of the designers in the official selection of the 2008 festival International de Mode and Photography d’Hyeres.
