Diesel founder and President Renzo Rosso has announced his donation of HKD 2 million to the Special Relief Fund for Children Affected by the Sichuan Earthquake, established by UNICEF to help children affected by the devastating May 12 tremor in southwest China. Rosso reportedly wished to match the donation made by actress Maggie Cheung to the appeal. Cheung was the VIP guest at the new Diesel Hong Kong flagship opening on May 28. Proceeds from the sale of two special edition bags signed by Rosso and Cheung and exclusive to the new store, will also go to the charity.
