A rainy day in London

Dear Shaded Viewers,

I spent my afternoon with Wilhelm Finger, our day started with the Tim Walker exhibition which we both loved.

The theme of the exhibition is the parallel practices in fashion and architecture. Unfortunately I only photographed the fashion but the architecture was amazing.

Other designers and architects in the exhibition included Junya Watanabe, Isabel Toledo, Albert Elbaz/Lanvin, Maison Martin Margiela, Zaha Hadid Architects, Lars Spuybroek/NOX, RemKoolhaas, Gehry Partners and many others. The exhibition goes on until August 2008, highly recommended.

After the Somerset House Wilhelm Finger and I went to the Tate Modern to enjoy the last day of the Duchamp, Man Ray, Picabia Exhibition. The films were the absolute highlight for us. It was fun to see Zowie from Boudicca at my hotel after seeing 3 of Boudicca’s designs at the Somerset House. My friends from Blaak, Aaron Sharif and Sachiko Okade took me to a great Japanese resto called Life/Five. In July they will be opening their own shop in the oldest Curiosity Shop in London. More on that when the doors open. Despite the rain and cold, I had a great day.
