Dear Shaded Viewers,

Warisbluetopaz

I first became aware of House of Waris when Linlee Allen from Colette told me that there was someone that I absolutely had to meet. Waris as a jewellery brand started quite by accident, he was shopping in LA at Maxfield wearing two of his beautifully designed rings when the shop’s buyer fell in love with them, took out his order pad and thus launched the design career of Waris. Since then things have been on an upward spiral. Recently when I was in New York I had the pleasure of visiting Bergdorf Goodman with Waris to visit his newly installed collection.

For obvious reasons Bergdorf’s fell in love with the House of Waris and no doubt the man himself. In mid March they celebrated House of Waris with an in-store event, an amazing party followed. Aside from the pure beauty of his work, all of the pieces have been lovingly made and carry a deeply spiritual message. It’s not obvious, it is just there.

Again I had the pleasure of seeing Waris during my recent trip to India Fashion Week. You can google my site and find more information on the House of Waris. In the future I will post a short video where Waris can tell you about his work and the fabulous party in New York that I missed.

Later,

Diane

In addition to his design work Waris is an actor, look for him in the next Wes Anderson film.
