Dear Shaded Viewers,
I met Matthew Ames in the South of France several years ago when he was in the competion at the Festival d’Hyeres. Since then I’ve been following his career, I believe this is his most mature collection. When I met him he was making men’s wear out of cartoon printed fabrics with extra legs. For the past several seasons he has been focused on geometry.

This piece makes me think of Fellini’s Casanova
Matthew is planning to show Fall/Winter 07 in NYC and perhaps he will bring the collection to Paris as well.
