Misericordia goes to Paris- Melina and Carlos’ first trip

Dear Shaded Viewers,

If you missed the sample sale, there is another one this week:
Invitation_misericordia2_1
Today I went to meet the two visiting members of the Misericordia team from Peru and to catch up with Aurelyan the designer behind the brand. I met Aurelyan about 3 years ago when he and Mathieu had a stand at Tranoi. A lot has happened since then. For one thing Mathieu left the company about one year ago to pursue his own interests. Misionmisericordia is the passion of Aurelyan and he continues to develop the structure in a way that will be the best for all of his team.

Aurelyan decided that now was the time for Carlos Montverde Vilchez, the local coordinator who has been working with Misericordia for the past 2 1/2 years and Melina Rosenda Rabanal Camas, the pattern maker, to come to Paris so that they could get a clearer image of the european market. One of their first stops on their inaugual trip was a visit to Colette. Colette has been a supporter of the brand since the very beginning.

Getting visas for Carlos and Melina went down to the wire, lost original plane tickets because of it but none the less they got here. Misericordia is expanding their collection to include more sophisticated pieces for men and women. Melina is modeling one of the dresses and Carlos and Aurelyan are modeling the signature Misericordia pieces. It is not very often that we have fashion with a heart and all I can say is that Misericordia has my love and respect and one day…Dino who missed their sample sale last time he was in town shooting Bernhard Willhelm’s collection will one day…who knows when… have his larger large size jacket….
