A few weeks ago I showed you Ronald Van der Hilst’s tulip vase and I told you about his brain hive hotel project. Before I left Antwerp I stopped to see him and his boyfriend, Marcel and Ronald took this image of the ceramic object that will one day transform into a hotel on a desert beach.A possible location for this hotel is Namibia where the Himba people are covered with red pigment from head to toe. We were imagining what it would be like to have a Himba behind the reception desk. My thought is that it might be a good idea if all the walls were painted red. Want to book a room?
