Dear Shaded Viewers,
There seems to be a real trend putting designers together with hotel rooms. Today the fashion illustrator Ferdinand
was telling me how 30 or so graphic designers were asked to redecorate
Hotel Fox in Copenhagen as part of a promotion for the launch of a new
car called Fox. His friends Antoine et Manuel were
asked to participate and to decorate three rooms. Last time I spoke with Haider Ackerman on our
Basel trip, he told me how he is designing a room or two or three in a
hotel in Brussels and tonight when I spoke with Maarten Muller from Fragma. he told me how
the designer Romy Smits is also designing a few rooms in the same hotel as Haider. Interesting. I’m looking forward to the images.
I just had a lovely dinner with Maarten at my favorite Italian restaurant, La Corte, but for some reason the owner was extremely jealous of Maarten and kept making funny comments all night. I don’t know what fantasies were going through his head but what ever they were they had no basis in reality.
That is Maarten and the owner of La Corte is behind him.
It was raining as Maarten dropped me off in the taxi.
