I just read in @bof that @bengorham is leaving @of I just read in @bof that @bengorham is leaving @officialbyredo this month and could not resist publishing when we offered him a page of advertising in the one print issue of @therafaeljimenez s magazine Iqons where I was editor in chief . I first met @bengorham years before at +46 in Sweden when he was just starting his brand and had been assigned as my driver. Already his bath products were in the beautiful hotel where the press was staying. I insisted he put his handsome face in the ad as it would help build his dream. He resisted at first but consented and the rest is the history of his very successful career. On a side note @therafaeljimenez launched the magazine in 2006 when most people were only starting to use computers. He left in 2009. #perfume #paris #publishing Also I asked @imranamed to write an article which funny enough completes the circle then in Iqons and today in @bof A little #fashionhistory

“Every Month I Weave articulates, with the almost whispered cadence of a ballad, an essentially political discourse on the perception of the female body in Western capitalist society. In the series Super Sofas - The Fruits of the Loom, the body takes on the guise of both furniture and meat for the slaughter. Upholstery, backrests and armrests model themselves on the volumes of anatomy - breasts, hips, buttocks - transforming the stereotypical forms of femininity into elements of domestic comfort, in a short circuit between eroticism, functional object and exploitation.”
