Kat Marks is a London based designer who I have recently met and am in the process of collaborating with on several fashion films. I'm excited by her work & her use of the film medium. X
Using chaos and absurdity, I seek to construct a habitat from reality from which my audience can find therapeutic solace and liberation of mind. I find inspiration in the humorous exploration of human connectivity through the works of American novelist Kurt Vonnegut.
My creations, generally made of plastics (molded) and leather, are often catapulted towards various creative dimensions: exploring photography, movement, videography and installation art. At present, my work has been focused on scenography, design and invention. This is a "mimetic practice" that utilizes the perspectival image to unify art, fashion and film.
I strive to create rebellious fashion without boundaries; continuously pushing the borders between fashion, art and representation.
