Marine Serre SS26: THE SOURCE

For SS26, Marine Serre returns to her roots. Titled THE SOURCE, the French fashion designer’s latest collection turns inward, focusing on the origins of her work—viewing garments as both necessity and protection. Since launching her label in 2017 after winning the LVMH Prize, this guiding principle has remained central to her vision, proving time and again that practicality and sensual modernity can seamlessly coexist.

Grounded in the brand’s eco-futuristic ethos, the collection makes extensive use of regenerated and upcycled materials. Jersey appears as supple second skins, while sculpted denim, leather, and metallic hardware lift the lineup into a luxury realm. Serre’s signature crescent moon emblem re-emerges in various forms—adorned on an all-denim look, belt buckles, stilettos, and cropped jackets.

Standout pieces include a red jersey dress that contours the body, as well as couture-worked leather creations—a mini dress, gaucho-style trousers, and a sharply cut biker jacket. The Aurora bag introduces femininity, while her staple sportswear lineage surfaces in a pair of bold lime-green trainers. Together, the pieces form a collection that is playful, yet grounded in the classic craftsmanship and mindful design that define Marine Serre’s work.

At the heart of the campaign stands Spanish actress Ester Expósito, embodying the modern Marine Serre woman, with model Momo Ndiaye beside her. The accompanying imagery, titled Chapter 1 — The Beginning, hints that there’s more to come from what Serre has been working on.
