Dear Shaded Viewers,
We all need fantasy again. In order to reclaim magic with subtlety, let’s talk about a new multidisciplinary artist poised to deliver whimsical runways: Ali Zalzali.
Ali is the magician who injects playfulness into fashion, reviving enchantment after seasons saturated with overly austere choices. As a graphic artist, singer, and creative director, he’s cultivated a visual universe brimming with vivid colors, blooming florals, and light-hearted quirkiness.
After completing design studies and working as a visual merchandiser for luxury brands, Ali developed his multidisciplinary artistic practice. Painting, set design, singing, and music composition form his interconnected playgrounds, with each discipline nourishing the others. Music unveils his radiant energy. Performance ignites a sense of dynamism in the body. Drawing layers depth into his creative cosmos. With his debut collection, Natura Morta , fashion becomes a medium where each silhouette is tailored to enhance our inner fantasies.

The collection’s title evokes the fine arts genre: still life. Yet Ali twists the concept with a pinch of strangeness, transforming these looks into mysteries rather than fatalities. Six garments gather at the crossroads of his vision, each carrying distinct character. The palette is timeless: flesh-like pastels and lilac hues serve as clever counterpoints to dramatic black accents. Patterns emerge neat and fluid, punctuated by sensual openings that invite the gaze.

Thanks to Parisian artisans, Ali’s floral aesthetics bloom into reality. Silly Gaterz , a specialized cabaret workshop led by Rivolie, delivered a striking rendition of his favorite motive : poppies. Some petals are the main garnment but others are a circuling structure who are a nod to Mugler’s iconic 1992 « Les Cow-boys » motor look. Special mention for The expressive plissé pieces. However, her real tour de force is the variation of textures such as a feather like blue dress. Corset maker Maxime Blotin structured signivicative pieces with organic seewed scars overtures.

Ali’s creative experiments extend beyond the runway. For his cinematic debut, fashion director Clara de Gobert realized a short film where Ali stars as a mad scientist hosting a party. Multiethnic guests gather in true Parisian party fashion, on an OST signed by to BOP maker Philippine. The vibrant sets and concise format serves Ali’s sharp visual instincts: honed during his tenure at Roger Vivier. This captivating short serves as a stepping stone toward future video clips and fashion films. Especially after Willy Chavarria’s last runway where fashion is the cherry on the top of a total work. We cannot wait for the first runway or Even more… a lot more !
