Puma and LGN : Ballet meets Punk Rock with the new minimalist Mostro

Dear Shaded Viewers,

For over 75 years, Puma has been advancing sport and culture by creating products for athletes. The brand collaborates with renowned designers and labels to bring sport influences into streetwear and fashion. Puma decided to collaborate with Louis Gabriel Nouchi. After launching his eponymous label, following experiences at Vogue Paris and Raf Simons, he quickly distinguished himself through a contemporary approach to tailoring and an unconventional interpretation of silhouettes. After numerous early successes, he set the tone for a career marked by innovation and growing recognition.

In this new collaboration, Puma and Louis Gabriel Nouchi reinvent the Mostro, an iconic sneaker from 1999, into an experimental ballet flat inspired version. The Mostro’s distinctive design is transformed into a low-profile slip-on shoe featuring a studded upper, reminiscent of the original model’s spiked sole, adding a punk rock edge and perfectly encapsulating the spirit of this collaboration.

Inspired by different athletic disciplines, the aggressive grip pattern of the original Mostro is echoed in the sole, anchoring the sneaker in the brand’s sporting heritage. An elastic strap runs across the forefoot, evoking both the ballerina aesthetic and the functional nature of the silhouette.

The PUMA x LGN Mostro Ballet is available starting January 24, 2026, from louisgabrielnouchi.com and selected PUMA stockists

Alex.
