Dear Shaded Viewers,

This Fashion Week was vividly impacted by young creators. Emerging designers are redefining the stage, and among them, Vincent Garnier Pressiat continues to assert his lush, theatrical vision. At 30, he has already become one of Paris’s most compelling storytellers. Each runway feels like an event, this year marked especially by his collaboration on Theodora’s new album looks.

His latest show, Requiem, unveiled a more restrained sensibility while keeping his passion for craftsmanship and drama intact. The collection Requiem was a luxurious take on romantic heroes, constructed with precision and emotional intent.

Pressiat approached the theme of the requiem with tact, blending liturgical gravity with a tender vulnerability. This season marked a return to color: muted beige, deep burgundy, and dark black tones infused the collection with a radiant sensuality that illuminate the skin.

The designer’s precision shone in his intricate knitting patterns, entwined leather jackets, lace crops and intentionally frayed trousers. What seems torn is perfectly controlled. His clothes frame the body with timeless fluidity.

Requiem unfolded with the energy of a rock concert, accompanied by Imalaya’s striking beats. The collaboration with Benoît Finck brought a new layer to the show, with drone footage broadcast during Lyas’ watchparties, gathering an ever-growing audience at La Caserne. The performance had a dystopian and anti-establishment energy, spontaneous and digital like today’s youth. Even in its restraint, Requiem marks a turning point.

Pressiat is now a pop figure. This collection will ensure his influence from music videos to concert stages. Some silhouettes echoed Theyskens’s haunting creations from Lady Gaga’s Abracadabra video. Maybe his universe might soon reach the Parisian dates of the Mayhem Ball, who knows ? It seems crazy but she wore a Pressiat dress last Spring 😉
