Dear Shaded Viewers,

The 29th edition of the Festival International des Créateurs de Mode will take place in Dinan on October 10, 11, and 12, 2025. Founded by Dominique Damien Réhel, and supported by the city’s mayor Didier Lechien, the festival continues its mission to spotlight new fashion voices from around the world. This year, Rodrigo Basilicati-Cardin, Artistic Director and President of the Cardin Group, has been named President of Honour 2025, in tribute to his ongoing reinvention of the house founded by Pierre Cardin.

The spotlight turns to ten emerging designers selected for the 2025 edition. Their collections span womenswear, menswear, and genderless design, blending cultural perspectives and bold experimentation.

Womenswear: Eden Kilola Zola (MOD’SPÉ, Congo), Rebecca Nardi (self-taught, France), Julien Paoletti (CHARDON SAVARD, France), Kalista Rebours (LISAA Mode Paris, France).

Menswear: Dahnée Charot (Vietnam), Hugo Gaudry (France), Léa Senda (Japan).

Genderless collections: Luna Gambier (MOD’SPÉ, France), Gianni Lafay (MOD’SPÉ, France), Maxime Varrier (MODE ESTAH / IFA, France).

The 2025 jury, led by Nelly Rodi, brings together a range of professionals from fashion journalism, retail, trade fairs, and design federations. They will award the Grand Prix Dinan 2025 to one of the finalists. Jury members include Emeline Beaumanoir (Groupe Beaumanoir), Claudia Franz (Messe Frankfurt), Corinne Jeammet (France Info), Sylvie Pourrat (Première Classe), Michael Scherpe (Messe Frankfurt France & Monaco), and Pierre Talamon (Fédération Nationale de l’Habillement).

Congratulations to all the designers. In 2025, amid so much chaos, the gift of creating something from imagination is already a prize.

Yours digitally,
Pedro Guez
