Discovering Dover Street Market Paris: A Creative Tour with Sami

Dear Shaded Viewers,

Today, I had the pleasure of visiting Dover Street Market Paris with Sami, exploring its unique and immersive retail space. Located in the historic Hôtel de Coulanges in the Marais district, this unique concept store is a striking blend of fashion, art, and design. Rei Kawakubo’s vision shines through the labyrinthine interiors, where boundaries between brands dissolve, creating an interconnected environment that invites discovery and experimentation.

Walking through the store felt like navigating a curated art gallery. Each corner revealed surprises—from emerging designers to established names. The absence of visible logos or price tags added to the sense of exploration, aligning with Kawakubo’s philosophy that satisfaction grows when customers actively seek out treasures.

My friend Vincent Gagliostro and I stopped by Rose Bakery, nestled within the store, for a delicious lunch. The café’s menu offers creative dishes like tartes, salads and their famous carrot cake, which we enjoyed on the terrace overlooking a serene garden. The entire experience felt like stepping into a world where fashion meets innovation and creativity thrives—a true embodiment of Dover Street Market’s ethos of “Beautiful Chaos”.

Later,
