Dear Shaded Viewers,
Pucci’s Spring/Summer 2025 collection made a vibrant splash in the picturesque Italian Riviera town of Portofino, reinforcing the brand’s deep connection to Italian style and “la dolce vita.” The show, held in a stunning location, served as a perfect backdrop for the collection’s celebration of colour, movement, and elegance.
Guests sat in the gardens of the La Cervara Abbey with a perfect view of the ligurian sea, while Camille Miceli -artistic director of Pucci, sent her beautiful creations down the runway where printed fringe details, puffed beading and printed silks were central to the collection. Drawing inspiration from the vibrant colours of the Mediterranean, with hues of azure blue, sun-kissed yellow, and coral pink, flowing silhouettes, lightweight fabrics, and relaxed tailoring captured the essence of effortless resort wear.
Alongside the Marmo print, the “Stella” and “Maddalena” prints added to the nautical references presented in the collection. The collection also incorporated modern elements, such as innovative silver skin tattoos which added a contemporary twist to the classic Pucci aesthetic. Marmo’s brilliance was captured in sequined prints, while black and white “conchiglie” shells were transformed into dress jewellery and sea urchin details subtly punctuated jacket buttons. Elsewhere metallic eyelets, echoing Marmo’s curves, embellished sandals, skirts, and evening wear.
With supermodels, Naomi Campbell and Kristen McMenamy closing the show, a fiesta ensued giving guests a true feel of “la dolce vita.”
Laters,
Bethany
