Dear Shaded Viewers,
Luxury streetwear brand Off-White™, in collaboration with streetwear brand BSTROY, has unveiled a new limited-edition sneaker dubbed the “OUT OF OFFICE”. The collaboration reimagines Virgil Abloh’s iconic “OUT OF OFFICE” sneaker, originally released in 2020. This limited-edition style, designed by Off-White™ Creative Director IB Kamara, pays homage to out-of-the-box thinking and creative inspiration.
Before his untimely passing, Virgil Abloh, alongside founders Brick and Dieter “Du” Grams, maintained an active group thread where they exchanged a constant flow of ideas. It was within this creative exchange that the concept for the limited-edition Off-White™ c/o BSTROY™ “OUT OF OFFICE” sneaker was born.
One particular text exchange, involving a photo of a potential pop-up location in Atlanta sent by BSTROY™ to Abloh, sparked the initial inspiration. In true Abloh fashion, he responded by taking a screenshot of the image and annotating it with finger sketches. A pink arrow, drawn by Abloh, connected electric scooters in front of the building to Du’s 40th anniversary Porsche 911 parked nearby. This simple yet visionary sketch laid the foundation for the design of the “OUT OF OFFICE” sneaker.
The “OUT OF OFFICE” sneaker is a seamless fusion of Off-White™’s signature deconstructed aesthetic and BSTROY’s bold, rebellious style. The design features a distinctive chunky sole, oversized branding, and a colour palette that exudes urban edge. The sneaker is crafted from premium materials and incorporates innovative construction techniques, resulting in a high-quality and visually striking product.
The limited-edition Off-White™ c/o BSTROY™ “OUT OF OFFICE” Silver-Black-Pink colourway is available now exclusively in EM PTY gallery store and online at off—white.com; the Silver-Blue Green colorway in select Off-White™ stores, online at off—white.com and via select specialty retailers worldwide.
Later,
Bethany
