Re(birth) of the cool – BLUEMARBLE SS24

The resurrection of an eternal ambivalence,

A juxtaposition of couture contradictory,

Waikiki flex, channeling your inner dapper energy,

This season, Anthony Alvarez reconceptualizes the cult of Californian effortlessness.

The oasis decor – as of the Trilogy of the Desert from Dali – gently reminded us of the Parisian heatwave. Distorted glass frames reflected my despair, scanning around for water while salivating on garments. Mirage, mirage, the beat drop, and the first silhouette arises.

The designer capitalized on the West Coast influence – praising the confidence of some of us pulling up at the Ritz with sandals and hibiscus print shirts like it ain’t anything. Bluemarble brings it all – a laidback flow, very much conscientious: a dose of reenchanted floral ensembles, oversized cargo pants, along with neo-mule hybrid shoes. A vibe, indeed.

Versatility is at the core of the flamboyant collection, transcending our rigorous vision of casual/chic at times. The alliance of silk and denim flows alongside, cultivating a pleasing ambiance of thoughtlessness and carefreeness. For the love of bling, Anthony Alvarez reshapes casual essentials with rhinestones adornment and encrusting shaped in tropical flowers. The Corsican superstition the Eye of Saint Lucia is revived in studs on ozone-treated cargo pants – legend has it that it wards off the evil eye and favors good luck. I will need 10 of these, please.

Bluemarble resolutely imbibes the spirit of youth in couture, a lighthearted sentimental nostalgia, and, more importantly, a relentless optimism for the future.
