Dear Shaded Viewers,

I am very happy to share the podcast DECOUSU with Agathe Escalier about yours truly and ASVOFF.

Bonjour à toutes et à tous, and hello everyone! Today’s episode will be in english. So welcome to Décousu, the podcast that unravels the thread of Haute Couture and fashion.. One of the main goals of Décousu is to break down the boundaries in order to marry fashion with the many subjects of reflection that underlie it. We have already seen questions of geopolitics, philosophy, literature but also more widely of art and culture. Because fashion, even if it is obviously an industry, also has a major artistic and cultural dimension.. This is why today I am hosting at my microphone Diane Pernet, the creator of the very first fashion film festival: a shaded view on fashion festival, also known as asvoff. Diane is a major figure in the fashion world, and her soul is undoubtedly one that lives for creation. In a selfless way, she created the festival to allow a creative support to a generation of free artists, at the crossroads of two arts: cinema and clothing. Today I offer to listen to a rich and complex exchange around the notion of fashion film, around the question of the feasibility of a purely cultural project in an industry that is conditioned by profit and finally around the need for fashion to be seen as a cultural expression. So without further ado, enjoy the episode and let’s meet on Instagram : @decousupodcast

Later,

Diane
