Dear Diane and Shaded Viewers,
An all leather collection, something that you don’t see often but DROMe has a gift to do amazing and inspiring techniques with leather. I had the pleasure to have a talk with the designer of DROMe, Marianna Rosati. Her enthusiasm and admiration for the photographer Erwin Olaf formed the inspiration for this collection. While viewing one design after the other, it made you almost forget that the entire collection was made out of leather. What Marianna did was finding new paths and explore the options of what could be done with this material. The enthusiasm showed throughout the collection, different shades of color, an ombre effect in which fabric slowly turned into leather and suede. With the use of different techniques the leather almost looked like silk, even digital print was incorporated.
