Persol and the vision of its icons all hand made in Italy by masters – photographed in the studio of Philip Gay

Dear Shaded Viewers,

I’ve been a fan of Persol for decades. I have even had the pleasure of watching  the making of the frames in Italy. It is no wonder that the brand is favoured by cinema stars through the ages . Persol is not about trends, the frames are forever, the true meaning of a heritage brand.

Perhaps you want to look like Greta Garbo, Steve McQueen or Robert Pattinson…well what they all have in common is when it comes to wearing frames they all chose Persol.

The images above were photographed in the studio of Philip Gay on various characters including supermodel  Chiara Scelsi. Other models use their Persol’s to interpret protagonists inspired by the world of motor racing, and contemporary reinterpretations of cult models inviting you to express your inner celebrity by slipping on your own pair. Please find a selection of iconic models below.
