Metaverse Fashion Week 2023 took place from March 28-31, 2023, showcasing the latest advancements in metaversal interoperability and digital fashion. The event’s curatorial theme was ‘Future Heritage,’ connecting the next generation of creators and traditional fashion designers to showcase the potential of fashion to bridge realities and worlds.
Decentraland and UNXD collaborated with Spatial and OVER metaverses to bring the latest innovations in the digital fashion space. MVFW23 featured an all-star lineup, including Dolce & Gabbana, Tommy Hilfiger, COACH, Adidas, DKNY, Vogue Singapore, Monnier Paris, DUNDAS, Phygicode Dress, in collaboration with Rubin Singer, The Fabricant, and others, showcasing the future of digital fashion and proving that the metaverse is an exciting space for the fashion industry.
Cash Labs presented four digital fashion activations within their Cash Labs Gallery featured in the Neo Plaza of Decentraland’s 2nd Annual Metaverse Fashion Week. The Cash Labs Gallery brought together some of the leading names in digital fashion, including Artisant, SHOWstudio, and Vogue Singapore, among others.
On the first floor of the Cash Labs Gallery, ARTISANT takeover ft. wearables in collaboration with Cash were presented. Iconic Cash, a collection filled with catchy slogans and fun accessories, gave attendees a chance to mix and match the pieces with their existing wearables for a fresh and stylish look.
On the second floor, SHOWstudio takeover ft. Nick Knight’s ikon-1 exhibit was showcased. SHOWstudio’s ikon-1 was the first major digital fashion NFT collection by renowned photographer Nick Knight, featuring Instagram sensation and model Jazzelle.
On the third floor, Danit Peleg x NounsDAO takeover was presented. Danit Peleg, one of the world’s leading innovators in 3D-printed clothes and textiles, created a new 3D-printed fashion collection inspired and funded by Nouns, an “open source” CC0 public domain brand.
Lastly, on the fourth floor, VOGUE Singapore takeover ft. avant-garde digital fashion was presented. Vogue Singapore worked with leading digital fashion designers to create some of the most avant-garde and innovative fashion pieces that have ever been seen.
In conclusion, MVFW23 was a huge success, showcasing the latest innovations in digital fashion and connecting creators and traditional fashion designers across metaverses. We are excited to see what the future holds for the metaverse and the fashion industry.
