Twisted elegance coming out of the warzone at ASAI LFW A/W 23 by Leticia Dare

Dear Shaded Viewers,

ASAI’s A/W collection “Can you take my breath away?” left a lasting impression on the runway with its inspired take on the 1973 Paris Peace Accords. Designer A Sai Ta was able to capture the essence of the war’s aftermath with a collection that was both breathtaking and empowering.

The collection showcased voluminous skirts that grazed the floor, dresses that were shredded, and chandeliers hanging from the sleeves of select pieces. A Sai Ta’s attention to detail and structure was evident in every piece, elevating the collection to new heights.

Standout looks included an elegant nunchuck inspired dress, a spicy knotted orange jumpsuit, and the infamous hot wok pattern back as a padded jacket over a sheer gown. Each piece had its unique personality, but all maintained a consistent aesthetic that was both sophisticated and bold.

ASAI’s A/W collection represented a more grown-up and formal approach that exuded power and confidence. The designer was able to balance structure with decadence, making each piece a feast for the eyes. It was a remarkable collection that showed the immense talent and creativity of A Sai Ta. Overall, “Can you take my breath away?” was a collection that truly left us breathless.
