Playful Prints and Charming Tailoring for Christoph Rumpf SS’23 | Words by Nafiseh Soolari

Dear Shaded Viewers,

Austrian designer Christoph Rumpf, the winner of the 34th Hyéres international fashion festival, leads his collection with a theory in sustainability, utilizing fabrics sourced from flea market finds and dead stock in combination with natural fabrics. His collections aim to celebrate masculinity and femininity by introducing parallel elements of playfulness in his tailoring and prints.

The colors are an expression of emotion, and the silhouettes bring forth a contemporary aesthetic to a style that is reminiscent of a bygone era. Showcasing his traditional menswear-focused collection during the current Spring-Summer season was a charming decision that played further into the creative DNA of his brand while also introducing womenswear to his repertoire. We were happy to see it.

Later,
