DAPAT is an organisation with the intention to support and empower women in fragile conditions

Dear Shaded Viewers,

I had an interesting conversation with Danielle Rousseau De Giovanni, last week she is the co-founder of DAPAT along with her husband Patrick De Giovanni. DAPAT was created in 2020 to aid and support women in fragile conditions and especially pregnant woman that are without a fixed address. Prior to our discussion I admit I did not know the difference between SDF and homeless, homeless  is living on the street, ok, we all know that, SDF means not having a fixed address which means that one has to change living quarters every day or every few days. The way DAPAT gives support is by working with 26 different associations that give aid to women in danger.

In addition DAPAT offers a prize the first was in 2021 and awards a grant from 5,000 EUROS to 15,000 EUROS. The idea of DAPAT is to educate and empower women so that they are financially independent and learn how to properly value themselves. The first prize of 15,000 EUROS is a grant to furnish its offices to receive women that are victims of violence in good conditions.  Women without a fixed address are also offered a weekend in a farmhouse in Seine-et-Marne on holidays.

The next award ceremony will take place on 17 October 2022 at the Théâtre Marigny.

In the meantime, all associations that have carried out an outstanding action for women in distress in 2021 can apply and have the chance to be a 2022 winner and receive a financial contribution between €15,000 and €10,000!
