Entitled ‘New Money’ with the concept based around arriviste and elite, Rhude balanced preppy codes of cricket knits and evening wear with basketball vests and visible boxer shorts. Simple, wearable and true to the designer’s ideals of clothes people just want to wear on the street but with a heightened sensibility, Rhude delivered with intent. Laid back casual leather suiting in red and black looks took center stage next to dressed down suiting. It will be interesting to see where he will take his first collection for Bally in September.
