Dear Shaded Viewers,
Blurring the lines of day to night dressing through deconstruction, layers and mixed football inspired prints, Meryll Rogge explored a distorted vision of our everyday realities and the surreal narratives it creates. Pieces were oversized and exaggerated with a ruffled tuxedo shirt a particular stand out in blush pink. Knits were torn, denim was frayed and lace was spliced into different panels on skirts and dresses. The football inspiration also carried on through to the footwear and a floor-length silver and gold dress that resembled a jersey. The day/reality, night/fantasy concept was carried out with exceptional results.
