Through percussion and poetry Black Excellence was celebrated with Ozwald Boateng at the grand Savoy Theater. Working through traditional prints and textiles, Boateng drew off his Ghanaian heritage and culture to showcase bright and detailed suiting pieces. A white fringed one-sided dress was also a particular stand out.With Idris Alba, Dizzee Rascal, Pa Salieu and Kojey Radical all on the runway to support Boateng’s comeback after a 12-year hiatus. It was a moment of joy, dance and love.
