Sulvam Men’s Autumn Winter 2022 by Aybuke Barkcin

Dear Shaded Viewers,

For men’s autumn winter 2022 season, designer Teppei Fujita dives into the Japanese work culture, finding inspiration in how people dress in their everyday lives and giving his own Sulvam twist to it.

The collection is presented with a short film featuring the models in an office environment with the opening phrase, “Future and past experience are the answers I’ve achieved. Live by the generation, create for the generation”.

The line-up starts with over layered grey tones which then evolve towards shades of ruby red, olive drab, camel and black. Houndstooth, Furano wool and gabardine, fabrics that are deemed classic, are given a fresh feel as traditional corporate uniforms and suits are redefined, portraying a rebellious spirit with deconstructed patterns, spontaneous cut-outs, loose trousers and balaclavas. Large pockets with contrasting colours and fur details act as the accessories for the season, while an oversized faux fur coat brings a sense of playfulness to the work place.
