Dear Shaded Viewers,
Pieter Mulier managed to pay homage to the departed Azzedine Alaïa while still putting his stamp on the collection. The result was beautiful clothes on beautiful models. Clearly he stuck to the codes of the house without being closeted within them. A series of knit pieces were executed in collaboration with the Picasso Foundation in embroideries style trompe l’oeil. Dresses sculpted the body while coats were slightly oversized, tailored pieces abound and the ruffle like bell bottoms. Well done.
