OASIS, a collaborative and 100% digital exhibition of the creative duo Services Généraux, live on July 13th 2021.

Services Généraux is a Parisian creative office, born in 2016 from the meeting of an art director and a designer, which offers creative and technical services dedicated to the image.each year since 2016, Antoine and Valentin imagine an exhibition project entirely self-initiated and self-produced.

In 2020, Services Généraux imagines the OASIS project and invites international artists to participate in this journey. A scenography initially conceived as a desert of sand from which will emerge screens presenting artistic videos created in synthetic images.

An OASIS conceived at a distance and finally transformed into a mirage, this time digital. A creative and experimental immersive website, co-developed with Tristan Bagot, which invites the user to wander and dive into these films, like a digital archaeologist.

The artists invited for this edition, 4 original films created by the artists themselves will be available for viewing in an interactive ux/ui experience, alongside a mini-documentary about the project itself. And how it has become a creative witness to one of the most unique years of our lives. :

– Mirko Borsche, directeur artistique Die Zeit & Zeit-Verlag
THE FILM WILL BE A VISUAL STUDY BY SERVICES GÉNÉRAUX AROUND GRAPHIC LAYOUTS BY MIRKO BORSCHE “Over the past years we created several 3D Posters featuring famous Rap lyrics: 2D coloured prints, Posters for lightboxes and 3d Printed Sculptures. Now we want to bring these to life and make them animated” — MIRKO BORSCHE
 Daniëlle Cathari, créatrice
THE FILM WILL BE A JOURNEY ABOUT SELF AWARENESS, IN A DESIGNER HOUSE NESTLED IN THE HILLY SCOTTISH COUNTRYSIDE. “When do we stop to feel nostalgic about something?” — DANIËLLE CATHARI
THE FILM WILL BE A VISUAL STUDY OF AND ENDLESS CYCLIC RECONSTRUCTION. “We’re all searching for an oasis, and sometimes we must create one for ourselves.” — NICOLE MCLAUGHLIN
– Heron Preston, artiste et créateur de mode
THE FILM WILL BE A VISUAL HOMMAGE TO THE FAUNA, AND A REFLEXION ON MORE HARMOUNIOUS WAY TO COEXIST. “I think its sending us a message. We are not necessary. The air, earth, water and sky, without us are just fine, when we come back. Remember that we are guests and not it’s masters.” — HERON PRESTON
INITIALLY, OASIS WAS SUPPOSED TO BE AN INTERACTIVE AND PHYSICAL EXHIBITION, IN PARIS. SERVICES GÉNÉRAUX — “TO BREATHE LIFE INTO THIS CONCEPT, WE HAD THE IDEA OF CREATING A COLOURED SAND TERRAIN. INSIDE THAT INDOOR LANDSCAPE, GLIMPSES OF SCREENS APPEAR, LIKE MIRAGES OR VISUAL PONDS. THE SCREENS DISPLAY THE ARTISTIC CREATIONS.” ATTENDEES WOULD HAVE BEEN INVITED TO WANDER ON THE LANDSCAPE, AND NAVIGATE IN-BETWEEN THE SCREENS ON THE FLOOR, AND DISCOVER IF THE VISUAL OASIS’S ARE MIRAGES, OR NOT. BUT THEN COVID HAPPENED. AND FUNNILY ENOUGH, THAT OASIS REALLY BECAME A MIRAGE. A DIGITAL ONE. AN IMMERSIVE WEBSITE, THAT INVITES THE VIEWER TO WANDER AND DIVE INTO THOSE FILMS, LIKE A DIGITAL ARCHEOLOGIST. FOR SPRING 2021, OASIS WILL BE LAUNCHED AS A UNIQUE IMMERSIVE WEBSITE, WITH THE 5 ORIGINAL FILMS TO BE DISCOVERED WITH AN INTERACTIVE UX/UI, ALONGSIDE A MINI-DOCUMENTARY ABOUT THE WHOLE PROJECT.

OASIS will be launched on 13 July 2021, in the form of a single immersive website.
