There is something so pure about an Issey Miyake collection that always takes us further, never looks back and is just timeless. I was crazy about the fantastic circular cut-out pleated pieces entitled Monochrome Planet. The printed pieces above were created with a 1,500 year-old-dye-dropping technique called suminagashi that originated in Fukui Prefecture.
I’ve been attending Issey Miyake shows since the early 90’s when I moved to Paris and be it a performance, an exhibition or a film the brand never fails to bring a smile to my face. The collection flows like water washing away worldly worries. Bravo.
