Dear Shaded Viewers,
Paris Fashion Week has arrived and I must admit this is a delightful opening. For the first time, the students of Institut Français de la Mode present their work at Paris Fashion Week®. For their graduation, each of the 48 students of the Master of Arts in Fashion Design present their personal collections, showcasing their creative vision. Six pathways of specialization are offered in this program : Major in Womenswear, Major in Menswear, Major in Knitwear, Major in Leather Goods, Major in Footwear and Major in Image.
In the past several decades I’ve been very disappointed that Paris, which should have the best fashion school, never quite hit the mark. Things appear to be changing going by the collections that were presented today. Congratulations to the students and their teachers. It appears that merging l’Ecole de la chambre syndicale de la couture parisienne and IFM was an excellent idea.
