Boutet – AW21 – Text by Ivo Barraza Castaneda

You don’t need to see the sky to appreciate a sunset, sometimes a rare ray of orange light might come into your house perfectly casting the shape of your window. And you know, you understand exactly what time it is, time to feel that good old nostalgia, because soon another day of light is gone, because today will never come back. “Nostalgia for the future”, that’s what Coco Boutet wishes to make you feel through her collection, and she achieves by using soft looking velvets and clean lines that teases a feminine silhouette, but even the body remains abstract, poetic.

The AW21 collection is titled “Tabula Rasa”, a full wardrobe of super fashionable essentials, pieces you can wear every day but change the mood of the observer by offering pure Parisian beauty: The forever nonchalant, never less than sublime.

Coco Boutet founded her eponymous brand in Paris after having worked for major Parisian houses like Dior, Louis Vuitton and Céline. She has expressed an active wish to create a high quality, durable and timeless wardrobe through her own collections.

Ivo Barraza Castaneda

Hello, my name is Ivo. My three favorite things in life are: Thinking deeply about visual creation. I like having long discussions of ideas that might reinvent the course of history. And finally, spending time with the people I love. Since I was a child, I was always involved in some activity around plastic arts, music and literature. That’s how I learned to sew by hand at the age of five, which later led me to focus on my main professional media: Fashion Design.
