UNDERCOVER – Autumn Winter 2021 men’s- PFW – text by Ivo Barraza Castaneda.

If you care about your fashion matching your taste in arts, then Undercover is one of those brands you want to put on your radar.

The AW21 collection might actually be the purest blend between art and clothing. You would usually find looks in the Undercover collection that would weight more on the high fashion spectrum but on the recently presented look book you will really enjoy the easiness of the clothing. Of course, we wouldn’t be talking about undercover unless there was an art twist to the subject. Also very literal this season, you have a canvas as the backdrop of the presentation and a graphic collaboration with plastic artist Markus Akesson. You will find fragments of Akesson’s hype realistic paintings used as prints on some of the garments.

Overall it seems like Undercover is trying to inject itself with some new energy, we appreciate it. The backpack-coats and jackets created in collaboration with EASTPAK hit the target on point.

Hello, my name is Ivo. My three favorite things in life are: Thinking deeply about visual creation. I like having long discussions of ideas that might reinvent the course of history. And finally, spending time with the people I love. Since I was a child, I was always involved in some activity around plastic arts, music and literature. That’s how I learned to sew by hand at the age of five, which later led me to focus on my main professional media: Fashion Design.
