A graduate of the Fine Arts and Applied Arts School of Santiago de Chile, Octavio Pizarro moved to Paris to study at the Ecole de la Chambre Syndicale de la Couture Parisienne.
After joining the Maison Jean-Louis Scherrer at the end of his studies, he became artistic director of the Maison Jacques Fath. At Guy Laroche, he devotes himself to fluid and drape techniques for ready-to-wear collections. In 2006, Octavio Pizarro launched a collection of accessories. The eponymous ready-to-wear line is launched in 2011. Invited by the French Federation of Couture, he presented his collections for three seasons in the showroom “Designers Apartment”. In July 2015, he presented his ready-to-wear couture collection at the Maison de l’Amérique latine in Paris during the “Haute Couture week”. Since the opening of his showroom-studio in Paris, his creations have been increasingly successful. In February 2016, Octavio Pizarro received the Grand Prix de la Création from the City of Paris in partnership with the Women’s Ready-to-Wear Federation, thanks to his work in knitwear. |
