“How to See Home Movies,” – People’s Cinema at MoMA

Dear Shaded Viewers,

MoMA celebrates the Largest Body of Moving-Image Work: Home Movies. The home movie aesthetic. Somehow this seems so relevant at this lockdown moment. In conjunction with the launch of “How to See Home Movies,” which is an extension of the the museum’s “Private Lives Public Spaces” exhibition, MoMA is inviting people to make their own home movies, as part of a #MuseumFromHome initiative. Consumers are challenged you to create a short home movie set in the past or the future; filters, props and costumes are encouraged. Some of the best will be shared on the museum’s Instagram page.

I would be very curious at this time of lockdown if my Shaded Viewers would send me a link to theirs so I can post them. Of course, submit them to MoMA.

Later,

Diane
