Back in 1991 I visited Lamine Kouyate at the Hopital Ephemere, Lamine was always into up-cycling long before it became a trend. Later I was on the set of Pret a Porter where Forest Whitaker was playing XULY Bet. A few years ago I visited his boutique in the banileue. He uses French fabrics and recycles and re-uses dead stock. Diversity and love were abundant in last night’s catwalk. Lamine respects the planet, the client and continues to champion diversity.
