Dear shaded viewers,

In one of my favourite books: Junichiro Tanizaki’s In Praise of Shadows, the bathroom is described as a perfect place to “listen to the chirping of insects or the song of the birds, to view the moon, or to enjoy any of those poignant moments that mark the change of the seasons”. The bathroom has never been just a place  for personal hygiene activities. It is also known to be used for meditation and other spiritual rituals. Henrik Vibskov brought us to the bathroom of Wes Anderson’s Budapest Hotel and washed away all our anxieties and insecurities.

Later,

Runzhou
