Christian Boltanski – Faire Son Temps – at Centre Pompidou Nov 13- March 16th

Dear Shaded Viewers,

I just left the impressive and intense retrospective of the artist, sculptor, photographer, painter and film maker Christian Boltanski. He is well known for his installations and conceptual style. You walk in and are faced with a figure that looks and sounds like they are dying, that sound design echos throughout the installation that joined by a beating heart. It’s a heavy reminder of mass murder of Jews by the Nazis ending in one room with a pile of clothing. It is a conversation with the real and the unreal and it is impossible to walk through the rooms of the installation without feeling intense emotions and all the time you hear that wretching voice of a dying man.

The above pictures will pass a bit of the emotion. There is no real text just plunging into the darkness and letting your sensations guide you.
