ZONA INDUSTRIAL MODAPORTUGAL CELEBRATES IN PARIS

When it comes to fashion production and engineering, Portugal has secured its place as a global player. Renowned for the quality of its craftsmanship and overall expertise, the country is also strong when it comes to product design. Some of the world’s leading and most innovative fashion companies are, in fact, located in Portugal, especially within the fields of manufacturing, yarn and fabric production.

ZONA INDUSTRIAL MODAPORTUGAL is a new concept promoted by CENIT (Portuguese Centre of Intelligence for the Textile Industry) and ANIVEC (Portuguese Association for Clothing and Apparel Industries).

Paris was chosen to showcase an event involving some of the best firms within the Portuguese industry, namely CalvelexPaulo de Oliveira, Polopique, Riopele and Twintex.

An evening event, curated by designer Miguel Flor and producer Joao Cruz took place on September 30th at Galerie Nikki Diana Marquardt in le Marais, which presented them in a new light, creating multi-sensory experiences, as well as visual delights.

The event treated selected guests to a digital immersion installation – in an industrial environment evoking the movement and dynamics of a factory, while the skills, abilities and innovative products offered by the 5 companies,  amplified through video and photography, editions of Principal fashion books,  delicious catering & wines selected by Michelin Star Chef Pedro Lemos, and a performance by Portuguese Artist CONAN OSIRIS.
