Dear Shaded Viewers,

During Berlin Art Week 2019, Haleh Redjaian and Jeweller Stephanie Schneider jointly present their collaborative works at the Kleine Halle in Potsdamer Straße 81 as part of the several events Andreas Murkudis will be hosting, opening Tuesday, 10 September 2019 at 6 pm. .
Pojagi, the Korean traditional wrapping cloths that originate in the 14th century, were, without exception, made by women. In a rigidly Confucian era, when women were discouraged from engaging in any form of intellectual pursuit, they poured their creative energy into making stunning works, which reflected their individual sense of harmony and beauty.
For Andreas Murkudis, Stephanie and Haleh designed 2 editions of 10 + 2 artist proofs, each of which includes a print of a drawing by Haleh Redjaian and a jewellery piece by Stephanie Schneider. As part of their collaboration, they will also show a textile work which is inspired by the Korean “bojagi” technique.
