‘ Buy it if you can ’ / ‘ My uniform ‘ / ‘ Tonight ’ / ‘ Kiminte Kimhekim ’

KIMHÉKIM presents four series in a collection which mirrors four essential dynamics of his aesthetics.

‘ Buy it if you can ’

This series is the part of the collection where imagination comes to life.

KIMHÉKIM creates exaggerated experimental pieces for conceptual fashion enthusiasts.

‘ My uniform ’

This series draws from daily life.

Focusing on comfort, these pieces are to be worn as a day to day uniform.

‘ Tonight ’

Imagined for a fabulous entrance at tonight’s party, KIMHÉKIM offers the unique experience of garments with high-end finishing details to enhance your unforgettable soirée.

‘ Kiminte Kimhekim ’

This very special series seeks to encapsulate what the designer learned from his grand mother : the making of traditional Korean costumes.

Still in love with the beauty of the ‘Hanbok’, he designed a traditional Korean costume series, in collaboration with local artisans in Korea.

KIMHÉKIM

Kimhekim is the last name of the Korean ancient royal family, a symbol of the Golden Kingdom era. Kiminte trained at one of the most prestigious French fashion house, Balenciaga, where he learned the importance of the approach and the special relationship with artisanat.

With KIMHÉKIM, founded 2014, he fuses traditional Korean sewing techniques with French Haute Couture craft, sublimating his poetic theory that the flower’s life is a microcosm of human life. The renaissance of the Golden Kingdom and the enrichment of decorative arts come together in a study of the feminine silhouette with experimental elements, combining past and future. His collections also explore the beauty of the vibrant ‘Hanbok’ attire, traditionally worn by Korean women.

KIMHÉKIM will unveil his new Spring/Summer 2020 collection on the first day of the official Paris Fashion Week calendar : Monday September 23, at 7pm.
