Harmony Korine Photographs Harry Styles for the new Men’s Tailoring pre-Fall 2019 Gucci campaign

Dear Shaded Viewers,

Harry Styles, the British singer-songwriter and performer fits the dreamlike landscape conjured up by Gucci’s Creative Director Alessandro Michele and the Director/Photographer, Harmony Korine. The setting is populated by statues and other objects coming from the culture of antiquity. The poetic fantasy includes animals from the past like pigs and swans and features Harry Styles as the embodiment of a nonchalant eccentric surrounded by his pets in a classic environment that expresses the vision of a new elegance proposed by the House.

Korine’s photos show the young Gucci Englishman dressed stylishly in the new Men’s Tailoring pieces combining patterns, colours and ornaments.

Harmony Korine was 22 when he teamed up with the director Larry Clark for the American Independent film Kids. That was the beginning of his now cult status as an influential commentator on our times. Recently he collaborated with the House on the pre-Fall lookbook for men and women; all the images will be collected in a limited edition book to be published by the end of the month.
