Les Drôles de Petites Bêtes d’Antoon Krings MAD, MUSÉE DES ARTS DÉCORATIFS APR 11 – SEP 08 photos Marco de Rivera

Dear Shaded Viewers,

MAD aka The Museum of Decorative Arts has devoted an exhibition to the Funny Little Beasts, the world of Antoon Krings, the French author-illustrator of children’s literature. On exhibit are more than 500 paintings, works of art, drawings and prints from the museum’s collection and the artist’s personal collection, along with loans from individuals and cultural institutions.

This project is based on six themes: fauna and flora, garden, Arts & Crafts, audiovisual adaptation of the universe of Funny Little Beasts, animals in literature and Antoon’s workshop Krings. The scenography  by Designers Unit plunges visitors into the world of childhood and wonder and is the first retrospective devoted to Antoon Krings.
