Dame Zandra Rhodes and the Fashion & Textile Museum preview ‘fifty years of fabulous exhibition’ Zandra Rhodes at Port Eliot Festival

The artists confirmed for Cornwall’s original festival of ideas are: Charlotte Church’s Late Night Pop Dungeon, Katy Brand, Simon Armitage, Patrick Gale & en Okri as well as Emily Maitlis, Bruce Parry, Robyn Hitchcock, Shappi Khorsandi, Robin Ince, Beak˃, The Orielles, Andy Burrows, Simon Farnaby, Stealing Sheep, Paul Simonon, Alice Temperley, Russell Norman, Aardman Animations, Honey & Co & many more. The guests of the Port Eliot Festival encompass some of the great contemporary figures in music, fashion, comedy, food, poetry and literature. The festival runs from July 25-28. Dame Zandra Rhodes will share her 50th Anniversary with the Fashion Foundation and will be talking about her Golden Reign in Pink and Blue in a special event, plus The Fashion and Textile Museum which she founded and its partnership with the Fashion Foundation with the sneak preview of the upcoming London exhibition, Zandra Rhodes: Fifty Years of Fabulous, in an installation in the House.

Charlotte Church’s Late Night Pop Dungeon will perform, Patrick Gale, beloved British novelist and chronicler of gay relationships and social history, whose two-part drama, Man in an Orange Suit, starring Vanessa Redgrave, won the International Emmy for Best Miniseries in November 2018.

Katy Brand – writer, comedian and actor, who has written for and appeared in numerous radio and TV shows, including The News Quiz, Peep Show and the Palme D’Or-winning Psychobitches. Simon Armitage will be reading from his latest, Sandettie Light Vessel Automatic.
