A visit with Svetlana Tegin, the founder of Tegin in Moscow

Dear Shaded Viewers,

I met Svetlana Tegin in Paris at her showroom several years ago and was immediately attracted to her work. A few weeks ago I was invited to Moscow for the Moscow Fashion Forum and I had the opportunity to visit the Tegin Atelier. Born in Kiev, Tegin moved to Moscow and designed costumes and decor for club performances and fashion shows. She opened her own brand in 2001. Svetlana is often called the “Queen of cashmere” and goes every year to Mongolia where she sources some of her materials and takes in the total atmosphere. Her collection is streamlined and beautifully crafted.
